An Optimization Case Study With Extensions for Analysis

Material Description

The problem in this case study falls into a class of optimization problems known as “set covering.” A small-scale problem is introduced with a basic formulation and solution. Then extensions are described exploring opportunities for data wrangling and visualization. This may be appropriate for an undergraduate course and tailored to course level, student background, or pedagogical priorities.
