This two-part seminar explores real-world applications of AI across consumer-facing platforms, highlighting how intelligent models move beyond automation to deliver meaningful, responsible outcomes. The second part shifts to AI-powered search and personalization, showing how modern systems interpret user intent rather than just keywords. Students will learn how AI enables smarter discovery, personalized recommendations, and adaptive digital experiences using everyday examples from search and e-commerce. Together, the seminar provides a holistic view of how AI is applied across industries from enhancing user experience to ensuring trust, safety, and regulatory compliance offering students an intuitive understanding of AI’s growing impact in the real world.
